All About Dad took home the Best First Feature award at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, and it won the coveted audience award in Tran's hometown festival, Cinequest San Jose Film Festival as well as the Inaugural George C. Lin Emerging Filmmaker Award at the San Diego Asian Film Festival.
